Since impatients were doing so well in the window box, I planted some on the layout. I also planted some seeds for coleus, pansy and balsam plants, which I understand do well in shade. I started some seeds outside, and only one variety of them came up. Plants did quite well near the overhead door which I kept open most of the summer, but did nothing anywhere else.
Somebody on a gardening forum I visit suggested Chinese Evergreen, Pothos, ZZ plant, Peace Lily and Dracaena Marginata.
